Walkthroughs for getting the most out of OptinexPC.

Practical, step-by-step guides for each module — written for someone doing it for the first time.

Running your first PC Health Scan

Covers launching the scan, reading your health score, and deciding which recommendation to tackle first. The scan itself is view-only.

  1. Open OptinexPC and start a PC Health Scan from the dashboard.
  2. Wait for the scan to complete.
  3. Review each category, starting with the lowest.
  4. Open Cleanup, Startup Manager or Windows Repair (Pro) only if you want to act — confirm first.

Reclaiming disk space safely

A cautious approach to Cleanup and Storage Analysis that avoids removing anything you might need later.

  1. Run Storage Analysis first to see used and free space on each drive.
  2. Open Cleanup and review each category before confirming.
  3. Cleanup covers Windows Temp, User Temp, Recycle Bin, thumbnails, recent shortcuts and browser cache — not installer leftovers.
  4. Re-run PC Health Scan afterward if you want a new snapshot.

Trimming your startup list

How to use Enable and Disable in Startup Manager. There is no Delay control and no boot-impact score in this build.

  1. Open Startup Manager and read publisher and file path for each entry.
  2. Disable anything you rarely open, after you confirm.
  3. Re-enable later if you need that app at boot again.
  4. Check live CPU, RAM and disk in Performance Center after the next sign-in.

Applying a Windows Repair tool Pro

Windows Repair is live in OptinexPC Pro. Pick one tool at a time — there is no one-click repair-everything button.

  1. Read the description of the tool (SFC, DISM, chkdsk, DNS, Winsock or Update repair) before doing anything else.
  2. Create a restore point if you want a rollback.
  3. Confirm in the app, then accept the Windows UAC prompt if it appears.
  4. Read the tool's result before running another one.
