Run the Windows repair tools yourself — with confirm and UAC.
Windows Repair is live in OptinexPC Pro. It runs real Windows tools: System File Checker, DISM, chkdsk, DNS flush, Winsock reset, and Windows Update repair. Each action needs your confirmation and, where Windows requires it, a UAC prompt. There is no one-click repair-everything button.
Pro · live in 1.4.3 Windows Repair ships in the current OptinexPC Pro installer. Free can see the module; running the tools requires Pro, confirmation, and UAC where Windows asks.
Check Release NotesThe Windows commands OptinexPC actually runs
System File Checker
Runs sfc /scannow to scan and repair protected Windows system files.
DISM
CheckHealth, ScanHealth and RestoreHealth against the Windows component store.
chkdsk
Scan a volume now, or schedule a repair at the next reboot when Windows requires it.
DNS and Winsock
Flush DNS, reset Winsock, reset TCP/IP, and release/renew IP — the same network repairs technicians run.
Windows Update repair
Repair the Windows Update components when updates are stuck or failing to apply.
Other included tools
Create a restore point, restart Explorer, repair printing / clear the print queue, plus power and battery reports.
Nothing runs until you say so.
Windows Repair never runs silently. You pick a tool, confirm, and accept the Windows UAC prompt when that tool needs elevation. One-Click Repair is not in this release — it is listed as coming soon.
- You choose the tool; there is no silent background repair
- Confirm in-app, then UAC when Windows requires it
- Restore-point creation is available before system-level work
