Installer, first run, permissions
Download the official setup from Download. OptinexPC and OPTINEX Uninstaller are separate installers. Confirm your PC meets System Requirements — Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
If setup is blocked, check Windows SmartScreen and that you ran the file you actually downloaded. The desktop app installs per-user; Windows Repair later asks for admin via UAC. Driver Health does not install updates and does not need admin for that.
Health Scan is local and view-only
A scan that sits at a high percentage is often a slow or removable drive in scope. Exclude removable disks and run it again. The health score is a plain-language read of this PC — not a scare countdown.
More detail: PC Health Scan.
Nothing changes until you confirm
Cleanup deletes the junk categories you confirm. Startup Manager enables or disables an entry after you confirm. Windows Repair (Pro) runs SFC, DISM, chkdsk, DNS, Winsock or Update repair after you confirm and accept UAC. One-Click Repair is not in this build.
Live CPU, memory and disk
Performance Center shows live readouts and a read-only process list. There are no temperature sensors and no configurable alerts in this build.
More detail: Performance Monitoring.
Purchase → PayPal → email → activate
The full key is emailed once. Paste it in the app: OptinexPC uses Settings → License. Uninstaller uses Settings → Activate this PC. Keys do not cross over. Renewing extends the same license.

What most people write in about
"My scan is stuck at 90%."
Usually caused by a slow external drive being scanned alongside your main disk. Try excluding removable drives from the scan scope and running it again.
"Does Cleanup or Startup Manager change anything automatically?"
No. Both wait for you. Cleanup deletes the junk categories you confirm. Startup Manager enables or disables an entry after you confirm. The health scan itself is view-only.
"An entry in Startup Manager looks unfamiliar."
Check the publisher and file location shown next to the entry. If you don't recognize the publisher, search the application name before you disable it.
